Some ports have been capitalizing on this idea for quite some time and have already seen the benefits, such as the Port of Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles and Port of Oakland. A contest of this sort encourages photographers and creative types to capture your port at its best \u2013 and share those beautiful images \u2013 while at the same time allowing you to engage with your community and strengthen that relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the next issue of&nbsp;<em>Seaports<\/em>, we are going to have a feature about organizing and holding a photo contest.
