Four port-related projects were selected to receive awards totaling $148.87 million, 16.45% of the total $905.25 million available. Ports receiving 2021 INFRA grants include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>$46.87 million to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gaports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Georgia Ports Authority<\/a>&nbsp;for a new inland container port, which will be linked with the Port of Savannah by direct, intermodal freight rail service.<\/li><li>$44 million to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.panynj.gov\/port\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Port Authority of New York and New Jersey<\/a>&nbsp;to modernize a section of roadway at an entrance to Port Newark and the Elizabeth-Port Authority Marine Terminal.<\/li><li>$49 million to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.philaport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PhilaPort<\/a>&nbsp;to construct a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.philaport.com\/southport-infra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new multi-use berth<\/a>&nbsp;that will be used to accommodate roll-on\/roll-off (RO\/RO) vessels.<\/li><li>$9 million to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.southjerseyport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South Jersey Port Corporation<\/a>&nbsp;for expansion of its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.southjerseyport.com\/category\/news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">barge capacity and intermodal rail<\/a>&nbsp;connectivity at the Port of Salem.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) announced the Biden-Harris Administration has selected 24 projects to receive funding under the&nbsp;FY 2021 Infrastructure for Rebuilding America&nbsp;(INFRA) discretionary grant program.
