Chairman DeFazio has proven instrumental to\u00a0seaports in his advocacy over the course of his time in this role. He was key to the restoration of Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) legislation in every Congressional session from 2014 through 2020 and championed the long-sought Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund reform included in WRDA 2020. AAPA had the honor of naming Chairman DeFazio as its 2021 Port Person of the Year.
