AAPA is proud to acknowledge our members for their inspiring projects, contributions and successes.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsored by the AAPA Public Relations Committee, the annual Communications Awards, a category of the AAPA Lighthouse Awards Program, has recognized excellence in port communications since 1966.<\/p>\n<p>There are a total of 14 entry classifications, ranging from advertisements to video presentations, and magazines to social media sites. See the full list of classification descriptions (<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/LighthouseDescriptions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bit.ly\/LighthouseDescriptions<\/a>) for additional information.<\/p>\n<p>The Award of Overall Communications Excellence is awarded to each of the three categories determined by a port\u2019s annual public relations, advertising and marketing budget.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Category 1: Ports have up to $300,000.<\/li>\n<li>Category 2: Ports have between $300,000 and $800,000.<\/li>\n<li>Category 3: Ports have more than $800,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The entry period for the 2022 competition is April 25-June 10, and winners will be announced in advance of the AAPA 2022 Annual Convention &amp; Expo in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 16-19.
