In October, during the Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla., the association will formally install newly elected board members. Nominations are open for the following regions and delegation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ports of Canada<\/li><li>U.S. Gulf Ports<\/li><li>U.S. South Atlantic Ports<\/li><li>U.S. South Pacific Ports<\/li><li>U.S. At-Large B Seat<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Any member port CEO, or equivalent position, is eligible to be nominated or self-nominated. Directors are nominated and elected exclusively by corporate members in their region. Following the annual convention, the new Board of Directors will elect one at-large director from among all U.S. corporate nominations submitted.\u00a0Nominations should be submitted to their current\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aapa-ports.org\/about\/content.aspx?ItemNumber=21249\" target=\"_blank\"><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">delegation board member representative<\/mark><\/a>, and \u201cAt-Large B Seat\u201d nominations should be sent to AAPA\u2019s vice president of government relations and general counsel, and board secretary, Cary Davis at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:cdavis@aapa-ports.org\" target=\"_blank\">cdavis@aapa-por<mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">ts.org<\/mark><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020, the association modernized its bylaws to update the terms and electoral process for board positions.
