Port People: Hueneme, Long Beach, North Carolina, Seattle

The Port of Hueneme’s longest serving commissioner, Jess Herrera, was named recipient of the 2020 Latino Leadership Award by the Pacific Coast Business Times along with CEO & Port Director Kristin Decas named as a Top Woman in Business. The board that oversees the Port of Long Beach and the city’s Harbor Department welcomed the newest member, Bobby Olvera Jr., a fifth-generation dock worker and union leader. Long Beach Harbor Commissioner Tracy J. Egoscue has announced she will not seek reappointment when her term expires June 30. The North Carolina State Ports Authority’s leader, Paul J. Cozza, is retiring from his post as executive director. Cozza will continue to serve in his role through December 31. As the Board of Directors announced Cozza’s retirement, the 11-member board also named Brian E. Clark as the new executive director. Clark currently serves as the chief operating officer and deputy executive director. Barb Wilson joins the Port of Seattle as the chief of staff for its five-member elected body, the Port of Seattle Commission. Wilson brings 25 years of experience in the private, public and nonprofit sectors in Seattle.
