Last week, the Maritime Administration (MARAD) released an amended Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Fiscal Year 2022 (FY2022) Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) grant applications. The updated NOFO reflects the $234 million appropriated for FY2022, which Congress passed in March under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, allocating over $234 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for PIDP in FY2022. This was appropriated in addition to the previous NOFO for $450 million from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The total amount of grant awards available for FY2022 is now over $684 million. Applicants will not need to submit two separate applications for consideration under both funding umbrellas. The application deadline is May 16, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
