DOT’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics to Hold Listening Session, June 13
On Monday, June 13, the Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) is holding an AAPA-members-exclusive listening session to document the data and analytical challenges faced by those making informed infrastructure investments locally. In this interactive dialogue with BTS, AAPA members are welcome to share infrastructure decision-making experiences and help shape a ‘work plan’ for prioritizing the Federal government’s support and funding requests to bolster communities in the decade ahead. Through Section 25003 Federal Support for Local Decision-making — a section of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Pub. L. 117-58) — the BTS hosts listening sessions for reviewing, updating and developing data tools to assist in infrastructure investment decisions, as well as respond to and support stakeholders’ needs. The BTS looks forward to engaging with AAPA members on topics of interest, as well as decision-making challenges and needs pertaining to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the nation’s transportation network. The session will take place June 13, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PT.
