AAPA Seaports
On Thursday, July 20, attendees of AAPA’s Smart Ports Seminar & Expo will have the opportunity to tour the Verizon Innovation Lab and see live demonstrations of 5G technologies in action at the Smart Port of the Future. Participants will receive an exclusive, one-of-a-kind tour, not open to the public, hosted by Verizon.
Visitors will experience a simulation of the life of a smart port with over 9 hands-on demonstrations featuring all that can be done with 5G technology, including:
- What is a digital twin and how it can be used by a port.
- How virtual reality can be used to troubleshoot repairs in a port.
- How Lidar (light detection and ranging) can be used for the safety of a port.
- How to leverage robotics at a port.
