U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Announce Timeline for Channel Reopening Amidst Recovery Efforts
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to temporarily reopen a 280-foot wide and 35-foot deep channel by the end of April, with the goal of restoring the standard 700-foot width and 50-foot depth by the end of May. While vessel traffic to the Port of Baltimore is currently halted, truck operations within the marine terminals continue. The Port of Baltimore expresses gratitude for the patience and support from its community and partners during this challenging period.
