One Week Left to Nominate a Student for the New Foundation for the Seaports of the Americas Scholarship

The Foundation for the Seaports of the Americas has launched a new scholarship program to support undergraduate students pursuing ports and maritime careers, and the nomination deadline is June 26.

AAPA member ports are invited to nominate one student per cycle for the scholarship, which awards $5,000 for every $50,000 in minimum Foundation balance. Eligible students are enrolled in maritime-related academic or workforce programs, including technical and vocational training, certificates, or registered apprenticeships. The application portal is open now, and awards will be announced in August 2026. Ports can also help grow scholarship capacity through a donation to the Foundation.
