Foundation Scholarship Deadline Extended: Nominate a Student Now!

The Foundation for the Seaports of the Americas has extended the nomination deadline for its new scholarship program supporting undergraduate students pursuing ports and maritime careers to July 8.

AAPA member ports are invited to nominate one student per cycle for the scholarship, which awards $5,000 for every $50,000 in minimum Foundation balance. Eligible students are enrolled in maritime-related academic or workforce programs, including technical and vocational training, certificates, or registered apprenticeships. The application portal is open now, and awards will be announced in August 2026. Ports can also help grow scholarship capacity through a donation to the Foundation.
