PortVision50 Seeks Port Candidates for GHG Reduction Dashboard

PortVision50 is a U.S. based non-profit dedicated to assisting ports and maritime stakeholders learn more about the solutions available to ships to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions based on the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) goals. AAPA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PortVision50 to support these efforts.

PortVision50 is in the midst of creating a dashboard to help North American ports identify their preparedness for the IMO GHG reduction strategy being developed and other decarbonization efforts within the maritime industry. PortVision50 is looking for ports to participate in the development of this tool. Ports interested in participating in this project should contact Margaret Doyle.

In addition, PortVision50 is building a catalog of funding opportunities that ports can apply for to support their projects to reduce GHG emissions.
