AAPA Board Appoints New Vice Chair

AAPA is excited to announce Paul Anderson, Port Tampa Bay President & CEO, has been named as AAPA’s new vice chair of the Board of Directors. Anderson was nominated and unanimously elected to fill the new vice chair position, during a regular board meeting on March 28 held in conjunction with the Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. Anderson had been serving on the board as an at-large director. AAPA’s bylaws allow for the appointment of a vice chair at the discretion of the 11-member board.

Anderson is a former Federal Maritime Commissioner and joined Port Tampa Bay as Chief Executive Officer in December 2012 after holding a series of high-profile leadership positions in the public and private sectors. Anderson serves multiple national leadership positions including vice chair of AAPA, chair of the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC), as well as chair of the Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development Council (FSTED), and chair of the Florida Ocean Alliance.

AAPA extends its gratitude to Chair Sean Strawbridge, Vice Chair Paul Anderson, and the entire board for its expertise, leadership and oversight in working to further the mission of AAPA.
