AAPA Hosts Webinar on Port-Community Relations

AAPA held a webinar Tuesday advising port authorities on how to forge productive relationships with their local communities. With federal initiatives like Justice 40, which requires that 40% of all infrastructure funding benefit disadvantaged communities, it is important that ports understand best practices in opening dialogue and consulting their communities. The webinar featured:

  • Harold Rickenbacker, EPA Ports Initiative,
  • Terrance Bankston, Friends of the Earth,
  • Miguel Rodriguez, Port of Hueneme, and
  • Carolina Gallardo Magana, resident of the Hueneme community.
