Shipbuilding Programs Director to Keynote AAPA’s Annual Convention

Dr. Jerry Hendrix, Associate Director for Shipbuilding Programs at the White House Office of Management and Budget, will keynote AAPA’s Annual Convention & Expo, September 28-30 in New Orleans.

Dr. Hendrix will join Paul Anderson, President & CEO of Port Tampa Bay, for a fireside chat titled “Reclaiming Maritime Dominance: Funding, Fees, and the New Frontier of U.S. Shipbuilding.” The conversation will cover the White House’s Maritime Action Plan, including funding mechanisms such as Maritime Prosperity Zones and a proposed universal fee on foreign-built vessels entering U.S. ports, as well as interagency procurement coordination and workforce development.
