Port of Oakland Appoints Sharla Sullivan as Director of Social Responsibility

The Port of Oakland has appointed Sharla Sullivan as its new Director of Social Responsibility, effective August 4, 2026. Sullivan will lead the agency’s efforts to expand contracting and business opportunities for small and local businesses, promote workforce development, and advance the Port’s community engagement initiatives. She previously served as Outreach and Partnerships Manager at Webcor and has over a decade of experience with the ACE Mentor Program San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate Oakland Team, in addition to serving on the boards of the Rising Sun Center for Opportunity and Junior Center of Art and Science.
